I would say I like to study alone, first and foremost, I think that most ofthe time I waste lots of time when I study in groups with my fellow students,and we will talk about random stuff before we discuss the real problem that wehave in our study. Also, I am the kind of person who needs a quiet atmosphere toconcentrate on studying, and I get easily distracted when talking to others.Thus, I would like to study alone simply because it is more efficient.

2. What kind of clothes do you like to wear?

I would like to wear causal clothes like hoodies, jeans and other kinds ofcausal and sports outfit, but at a reasonable price. As a student I do not havelots of money to spend on buying fancy brand name clothes, and frankly, lots ofbrands name outfits are not that appealing to me. Another reason that I like towear causal and sport outfits that are at a reasonable price is that, I do lotof sports after school, wearing these stuff feel comfortable when I am doingsports and I do not look awkward to wear that even in the classroom.

Personally, I would like to read to a patient if I got a chance to do somevolunteer work in a hospital. First of all, I think lots of patient are quitereserved and not willing to talk to others, like those who suffered emotionallyand got traumatized within find it hard to talk to other, however, they do notreject you when you read books to them. On top of that, there are lots of goodbooks that can be really helpful to them, like spiritual books and selfimprovement books that will help them to grow spiritually, also, the one whoreads the book will be benefited from it.

4. Which of the following do you think is the most important formaintaining good health? Doing exercises, eating healthy food, or going to bedearly?

I would say doing exercises is most important for maintaining good health.Especially aerobics like swimming, jogging, and even do some running on atreadmill, it helps you cardiovascular system. When you sweat a lot, it helpsyour system to get rid of the poisonous stuff within your body. Secondly, bydoing exercise, you can burn lots of fat in your body, and you do not have tosay to delicious food and snacks, like ice cream, hamburgers and stuff likethat.

5. What is the most important quality the teacher should have?

I would say the most important quality of a good teacher is knowledge. Asknown to all, the teacher’s job is to impart knowledge and enlighten thestudents’ creativity. A teacher is supposed to be an expert in his or her ownfield, they should also have some knowledge in other fields, cuz lots of subjectare related with other fields for example, geopolitical science deals withgeography and politics, behavioral economics is about psychology and economics.Most important of all, a knowledgeable teacher will be more popular than ateacher with very limited knowledge.

6. What are the advantages and disadvantages of watching TV in dormitories?Include reasons and examples to support your response.

TV programs like documentaries can be very informative, and they targetdifferent kinds of audience. They cover lots of topics like sports, animalworld, history, and even religions. you can really learn a lot about all kindsof stuff. It is very good to watch these shows, however, if someone is indulgedin watching meaningless TV programs like different kind of reality shows andeven some of the TV sit-coms, it might cast a huge negative impact on theirstudy and work, and this is a is big disadvantage.

7. Some schools require students to take part in community serviceactivities after school. Which of the following do you think is the bestactivity for students? 1. Planting flowers in the community 2.doing clean-ups inthe garden 3. recycling waste.

If I got a chance to do some community service, I would like to choose toclean the garden. Well, in my city, people do not really pay attention toenvironment protection. There are rampant littering, and spitting everywhere.The garden is supposed to be place where citizens can have fun and get somerelaxation. Unfortunately, it is not very neat and clean. I would like to makeit a better place for community members to enjoy themselves, and by consciouslyparticipating this kind of activity, hopefully, I can influence my friends andstrangers around me so that they will be aware that environment protection isreally urgent.

8. Describe a time you learned a new subject.

When I was in juni

or high, I had to learn English for the first time, andit was really hard for me to pick up at first. The words, grammar and sentencepatterns are just so different from Chinese. But with the help of my Englishteacher, I gradually learnt some basic words and useful phrases, and I startedpracticing English with foreigner whenever I got a chance, the more I acquire,the more I am willing to learn and I put more effort and I am determined to bereally good in English. Now, after so many years, I am still a big fan of theEnglish language, and I cannot live a single day without it.

9. What do you think the government should do to decrease the usage of carsor other vehicles and solve the traffic problems?

There are lots of ways for the city to decrease the usage of cars and othervehicles, and deal with the traffic jams. Firstly, the decision makers shouldinvest more money to improve public transportation, like adding more bus routes;develop express local trains and renovating bumpy roads. Secondly, they in orderto limit the number of private cars on roads, more tax should be imposed ongasoline price, and they probably should reduce the price of publictransportation, and make it more accessible to citizens, so when they commute,they will only consider using public transportation.

10. Some like to make gifts themselves to friends, while others like to buygifts. Which way do you prefer and why?

Personally, I would choose to make gifts myself. Usually, we give gifts tofriends and family member when it is a special occasion, like on their marriage,birthday or their graduation day. I really want to make them feel special whengiving the present, and remember that particular member forever. By making thegift myself, I can put my friends’ names on it and write something especially tohim or her. However, buying a nice gift not only costs me a fortune, but also itis not so meaningful, since everyone can get it from the store. That isbasically why I would like to make the gift myself.

11. Your university is planning to allow students to watch TV in theirdorms. What is your opinion and why?

I think this is such a brilliant idea, TV programs like documentaries canbe very informative, and they target different kinds of audience. They coverlots of topics like sports, animal world, history, and even religions. You canreally learn a lot about all kinds of stuff. By watching TV is dorm, studentscan learn a lot. What’s more, students are very sometimes depressed about theirschool, and they need some relaxation, and I think entrainment programs on TVserve as a great way for students to relax, like reality shows, and poker gameshows.
